I started this album back in 2015 and finished it in 2016. During this time, I was basically trying out many things in my life, some of which were good, some not so much. After sitting on this album for months and months, however, I felt that it would be good to get this to finally see the light of day.

I don't want this record to seem like some celebration against the bleak- right now, things are not look to good globally, for reasons that may be screamingly obvious for anyone. That said, I wanted this to maybe be my own little attempt, before things get properly out of control, to share what I had made for myself last year to orient myself and be proud of.

At the risk of sounding overly-sentimental, music is my warm center, the calming, strange, embryonic space where I can imagine things and feel maybe a little less scared of things. I love music. I hope, if the years ahead are not too hard, that I can learn a lot more about actually making music, about actually recording and writing, rather than doodling out these little soundtracks for myself... I suppose we'll just have to wait and see.

With that said, here it is. Eight little soundtracks for you, from me.
